About the Accompanist

Dean Mora

Dean Mora is a native of Los Angeles, and just moved to Sacramento about two years ago
(and is enjoying the lack of excessive freeway gridlock!). Dean has been a professional pianist
and organist for the past 25 years. Highlights of this career include: leading a big band,
playing for ballet companies, accompanying silent movies, serving as pianist for numerous
musical theatre productions (most recently Sister Act at Sacramento Music Circus),
directing musicals, recording the background music tracks for Main Street at Disneyland,
and playing many gigs involving a wide range of musical genres including jazz, rock, classical,
and Latin.
Dean was the accompanist for Bonita High School (La Verne, CA) for 17 years,
accompanying their award-winning chamber ensemble and mass choirs. He is currently the
organist/choir director for St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Woodland CA.

He and his wife Adrian have a one-year old child, Hamilton.
